This guy has been wasting his prime and our time hardly fighting at all and when he stepped in the ring, he couldn't be arsed to fight credible opposition. Granted, Maciel is underrated and gave him some problems, but let's be blunt, there's no name on his resume other than Jacobs with recognition value.
What's it with him? Is he not confident in his abilities? Ishida said, Pirog is an A tier fighter and I'm in inclined to believe him but why exactly did he come to the conclusion that not capitalizing on his spectacular victory over Jacobs is a good idea? I heard he's injury prone (especially his back) but I'm not sure I'm buying it just like that. I for one remain sceptic about him until he fights a Geale/Martinez/Golovkin/Sturm/JCC level MW. Hopefully, the Golovkin fight gets rescheduled. That would solve a lot of questions about either fighter. Three dire opponents in two and a half years is a poor yield for a boxer who is supposed to be a top 5 MW. |

Pirog has the potential to be one of the great hypejobs of this generation, I honestly believe he has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of Lucian Bute and Andre Berto when it comes to wasting his talent.

Lou DiBella (Team Martinez)
"Who the fuck is Pirog? I'm not fighting guys who don't bring 50 cents to the table. Pirog doesn't make any sense." German Titov (Team Pirog) "Actually, there's nothing which surprised us in his reaction. They were offered 3 million for a fight with Dmitry but they chose to turn that deal down while barely making 1.2 million." ^^^ Sergio Martinez don't want none of Pirog nonetheless. He had bigger fish to fry, like Barker and Macklin. |

Dzinziruk (small, was inactive, feather fisted) Barker (who?) Macklin (come forward, nothing special) Chavez Jr. (still green, slacking, fucking, and smoking weed during training) Martinez should fight Arthur Abraham @ 168 |

Guys aren't exactly falling over themselves to face very good fighters with little name recognition and an even smaller fan base (in America anyway).
I did lose sympathy with him after the Golovkin debacle though. That would've been a terrific fight. |
