Respect for Skelton, but last night it was obvious that he was there just for the paycheck. Thanks for some entertaining fights, but he should have retired long time ago. I personally don't see any benefits from such kind of main events.

Skelton has been in some great fights, because he comes to do just that, fight,no nonsense he wants to knock you out and bust you up,I was surprised at how easily he got on the inside against Price last night, really want to see the Chisora fight now because he'll atleast be able to stick around for a bit longer and test Price.

Heard his trainer wants him to retire.... think his trainer is the one to retire cos he can't even throw a towel properly!!
Skeleton should continue and be good fodder for the likes of Chisora, Dhillion, Sexton to come back and all the up and coming lot to come through. The only problem is they shouldn't hit him with a body shot early or its over. Just watched the same thing happen against Pulev but that was even softer body shot! Matt has given us nothing but entertainment and he's always given his all, he's got great heart too, thanks for some great fights.
What was going on with some of the trainers hair styles the other night???? The bloke in vassells had some weird white forward combover and in skeletons corner some fake tanned bloke with long blond curtains??? Lol!!! Plus the ref last night looked light a chubby Jeremy kyle haha! |

Skelton beat guys like Vidoz, Sprott, Williams, McDermott, Francis etc. and he gave Chagaev a decent argument in Germany. How anyone can say he is the worst British champ in recent years is beyond me.

Well he's got at least 4 or 5 better wins then Scott Gammer and Mike Holden mate. I can understand you not rating him and not liking his style but i think many of us can't agree with that comment. European champ yeah maybe you can present a good case but defo not Worst British Champ of Decade for many of us.

His fight against big Bob Mirovic was particularly memorable, I remember watching it live on Sky and it was a great fight whilst it lasted. Matt was never the best, but he never claimed to be; he could be exciting, he could be really messy, but he never stopped coming forward and he gave just about everyone he faced a tough fight. He should be very proud of his career; anyone who thinks it was anything over than a successful one doesn't know much about boxing IMO! |
