I seem to have a lot of trouble with this punch. My jab is almost picture perfect, but my straight right seems to always fall short and lacks power. I turn into the punch as much as I can, but a quad tendon injury from a year or 2 ago at the top of my femur means I have limited range of movement in my right hip.
Any ideas on how I can improve this? |

You are throwing it from too far away, it sounds like. When you step in with your jab, bring your right foot with you. Also, when you jab are you turning your shoulders? The small turn to drive the jab leads to a big turn to drive the right hand. Not doing that will screw with your distance when you try to step in with the punches, by the way.
