Lewis to Vitali *If you comeback, so will I*

A site that is very confidential about its boxing, states in a new article about Vitali, in which Vitali says that Lewis apparently, very recently, told him (Vitali )that *if you come back, so will I, but the purse will have to open my eyes, wide*.

Not sure how serious Lewis is when he says such things, though, but Lewis had to know that Vitali was coming back, and that he (Lewis) would be expected to follow through with his claim, as well.

Who knows if he means it, or not, but Vitali sure seems to be after the Lewis rematch, cause he knows that is the only mega-money fight there is out there, bar none. I am sure Vitali will get slammed even further for this, but Lewis seems to add fuel to the fire by saying such things, as he knows that Vitali is seriously after that rematch and the huge income it would make both of these guys.

And Vitali also knows that a Lewis win, even with Lewis at 41, or whatever he is, would carry much more clout on his resume than anyone else currently out there.

Lewis ain't coming back. You see all that grey hair he has when he's chillin on BAD. HBO pays him well - well enough for him to sit on the money he's already made - and take the best seat in the house for any boxing match he wants.

This is totally meaningless because it isn't a quote of Lewis; it's a quote of someone who has an interest in Lewis saying this. Lewis isn't coming back and Vitali is facing defeat if he fights a top 5 boxer. End of story.

Here is what was said in the article:

Regarding the Klitschko's, Vitaly gave an interview to German newspaper "Die Welt" as he spoke about the still existing possibility of a fight between him and Lennox Lewis.

"A short while ago I spoke to him and he told me that he comes back if I do so. He actually set an extra-term saying that the purse must open wide his eyes. In between I had many negotiations about it. I can say this: If I become champion of the world again, HBO would be so kind to offer him the amount of money that he would not be able to close his eyes ever again."

Rumors again, if Lewis didn't make a rematch happen right after the first fight then he sure as hell won't change his mind at age 41.

Hey, is it that time again? Time for another "Lewis might come out of retirement" rumour.

I think it was officially passed as law that such a rumour must be circulated at least every 4 or 5 months. I wonder how old Lewis will have to be before it stops!

He's too rangy for chagaev. He would beat peter easier than wlad did.
And sultan doesn't have the power to hurt him. Maskaev would be KO'd in 6 or less. Wlad is the #1 heavy in the world and ring rusty vitali is #2.
