Trout started strong and looked the better man towards the end. Still struggled against a slow Cotto. This wasn't the same Cotto Floyd fought this fight was a 7-5 fight for Trout, but a draw wouldn't have surprised me.

Cotto beat up Paulie back in the day and broke his jaw so Paulie wants to think of cotto in the garden as a beast because of his own ego!!!

Agreed. I know it seems the most logical to think if somebody beat you down, you'd want to watch somebody else beat them down, but often not the case. If somebody beats the guy who beat you... Makes you look worse honestly. At least if they continue to win your loss don't look so bad. Not to unrealistic to score it a draw though, and I don't think Paulie is being overly biased. Pretty obvious to me Trout had the better night, but it was close.

Some rounds were very close but Trout won 7-8 rounds in a clear enough fashion. I've watched it 3 times now and being a big Cotto fan I still struggle to give him more than 4 rounds.
