Default how do your 154 rankings look now?

With all the recent developments we've seen at junior middleweight, how do your rankings in one of boxing's hottest divisions shape up?

Mine:

1. Floyd
2. Canelo
3. Trout
4. Lara
5. Cotto
6. K-9
7. Molina
8. Martirosyan
9. Kirkland
10. Angulo

1) Mayweather
2) Trout
3) Molina
4) Lara
5) Canelo
6) Bundrage
7) Martirosyan
Cotto
9) Baysangurov
10) Kirkland

Those are definitely the top 10 guys (it's a pretty decent drop from Kirkland to whomever is at #11), but a lot of those guys are pretty interchangeable after the top 3.

Really now????

Molina is criminally underrated, but just no...

Name me the 5 fights which most showcase/prove Molina's worth.

Looks like we all pretty much have the same 10 guys, just in different order.

I think Cotto got old over night against Trout and from what I saw last Saturday, Canelo would stop him at this point. Alvarez-Trout would be interesting, but I think Canelo TKO's him after losing most of the early rounds. Trout just doesn't have the pop and his defense is very flawed.

My problem with ranking Baysangurov is that he's fought nobody except Rubio and K-9 (who stopped him in 5). I wouldn't favor him against any of the 10 boxers I have on my list (on nuetral ground of course).

Looking at everybody's list though makes me realize that this is a very good division right now. 154-160 has really heated up recently.

7) Kirkland
8. Vanes
9) Canelo
10) Thurman

Failing to understand why Canelo is deserving of such a high ranking given the sad state of his 154 lb. resume.

The quantity is in the division (a reasonable amount of decent guys) but not the quality for me!

I have Trout ranked at number 1, he's never ever going to be a box office name, Canelo is a WBC champion at the weight with 2 defences and he's running out of old men and can's! Vanes and Lara are top fighters but there progress is frustratingly slow! Angulo is shite so is Kirkland, Cotto is done, Baysangurov .......... i like this guy but you like you say un-tested!

That all sounds very negative and pessimistic but thats the feeling i get when i look up and down the list @154, it really doesnt appeal to me that much if im being brutally honest

I mean example match Trout with Lara, Vanes, Molina or Bundrage and im not excited at all by that fight, in fact match most of them guys and im really not that excited about any of it barring Lara vs Vanes 2, they would probably be undercard fight's too

Kirkland is apparently over 200 lbs these days. I'm not sure he is ever coming back to 154, let alone boxing.

Why do most of you rate Mayweather above Trout when he's only had 1 fight in about six years at 154, against Cotto, who Trout beat just as, if not more, decisively. And Trout has also beat D-Rod at 154. Just asking?

Maybe in terms of elite p4p type of talent. But in terms of overall quality through the first 15 or so fighters, I think JMW might be the best out there right now. And I rank Mayweather at 154 so that helps...

Trout's win over Cotto trumps any of Canelo's wins at this point, but I rank the Mexican higher because he's done more over the past few years than Trout, who's just really came on this year.

Trout isn't the most exciting, same goes for Lara - but they are skilled and if matched correctly can be entertaining. All I know is ANY combination of guys like Kirkland, Angulo, K-9, Canelo, Cotto, Vanes, Thurman and I'm there. You got Mayweather who's gonna eventually face Canelo at '54 and that'll be an interesting fight. For me there's just a bunch of great possbilities for high profile fights in this division.

But I totally understand and respect your opinions, I just don't see many divisions these days where you could call everyone in the top ten "good" fighters. Take cruiserweight for example - you've got Chambers, Hernandez, Huck and then it's pretty much nothing....
