Default How much better were...

Duran, Hearns, SRL, and Haggler compared to Pacquiao, Mayweather, Sergio, and Williams

Obviously they were better and I'd be surprised if someone said otherwise, but lets hear it. Was it leaps and bounds, marginally, or somewhere in between?

And for those who may say Williams doesn't belong in the conversation, I'd point to his two huge wins against Margarito (possibly with hardened wraps) and his close fight with Sergio. IMO he was the only guy in the past 8-10 years that would be able to beat mayweather at 147, but hey it's an opinion, not a fact.

My opinion is in between btw.

All old school fighters are overhyped just because they are vintage. That's the cool thing to do. We all tend to put the past in a pedestal. Fact IS all of the active boxers you mentioned would beat all of those oldies. I'd put my life savings on it.

You can say that about the Heavyweight division but those weight classes havent changed. And they fought 15 rounders then too

It was between him and Williams. I think it says a lot that many top ww at the time wanted NOTHING to do with him. The man was 6'2 and threw around 1000 punches a fight, not all with bad intentions, but regardless that is impressive. And the fact that he is tall and lanky like hearns makes it a more interesting comparison, although their similarities basically stop there.

Should be Mosley,Mayweather,Cotto,Pac if your going to try and make a fabolous four. At least these guys actually fought each other like the fabolous four. Well outside of Money and Pacman

As good of a fighter as mosley was, I think he should be mentioned with DLH, Tito, and Vargas more so than those mentioned above.

And again cotto is another great choice, but as mentioned before I think he edges him out. I honestly wish more ww would have given Williams a shot, he was a dynamic fighter that had the potential to give any fight style issues.
