Personally, even though Trout won, I still want the Cotto Canelo Fight. I think it makes a more entertaining fight, and also its two of my favorite fighters.
Yes Trout deserves it for winning, but I can't help but still want the Cotto fight. |

a top 10 154-pounder who isn't shot, would be a good start..
Trout, Kirkland, Lara, Martyrosian, Angulo, Molina, K9 would all be fine by me. but a fight with Maidana is more likely. |

Cotto can only go one of 2 ways...consider going back to 147 which would be a huge admission of failure. Or consider trying to get a rematch with Trout to save his reputation...continuing at 154 against the likes of Canelo would be a joke. Canelo is starting to build up a fairly pointless CV like Chavez Jr was doing. The latter stepped up and fought the best - Canelo either needs to fight Trout or Mayweather - fighting old veterans and light welters doesn't really make for a great reputation. He's 22, time to step up and not do everything for the money |

I think a fight with Canelo is perfect for Cotto and is actually quite likely. It'll generate more interest due to Cotto being the bigger PPV draw than Trout (not that I give a shit about PPV's), and Cotto would stand to be Canelo's biggest test to date by far. A win throws Cotto RIGHT back into the mix for another shot (loss) to Mayweather/Trout. It's now down to Canelo/GBP to do the right thing and not accept a challenge from Cotto but instead go for Trout. Can't see this happenning though (as much as I think Canelo would win), there's too much safety & money in a fight with Cotto. And to clarify, I'm not trying to stick the boot in Cotto here for losing to Trout. I've always thought Canelo would beat him at this stage, hence why I refer to the potential bout as "safe" for Canelo. |

Trout is like Bradley. He can't draw flies and fights a boring style.Bring on the action-Cotto vs Canelo is a no brainer and will sell big time.

I believe Trout deserves a shot for the title.
I don't believe Cotto has much to prove or archive anymore. He's not shot to shit yet, but he doesn't need to cut, spar and fight till he is. |

Trout preferably, but I still wouldn't mind seeing a Cotto fight. Hell I just want to him in with a top 10 ranked guy, even K9 would do just for another belt.
