Cotto is a better fighter than Kirkland, there is no doubt about that.

But Kirkland probably beats Cotto. I think it would just be a bad idea.

Cotto beats Kirkland no doubt, Kirkland is fan friendly but does not know how to deal with skilled fighters i dont see how he would beat Cotto.

Pacquiao is not in the position that Cotto is in right now. Cotto could have fought list of fighters who's style suited his own and gotten paid the same he did for fighting Trout.

Pacquiao however has run out of Welter opponents and below that offer punching bag status. He's gone though all of them allready and if he wants to fight for a big purse, his options are pretty much limited to Mayweather, Marquez, at welter and below, or he can challenge fighters at 154 lbs like Cotto, Canelo, and Sergio Martinez.

If Pacquiao had comparable money making options to fight anyone other than Marquez, we would'nt have this dec 8th fight coming up with Marquez!
