1: This thread is supposed to be about the opponents Jones ducked so why on earth are you talking about anabolic steroids for?

2: No one knows what he tested for. It could of been anything from an otc product to an actual steroid, but we do not know exactly what it was that made him test positive. The reason you bring up steroids is because you are a full time Calzaghe fanboy

3: He did take the follow up tests Hall said himself he did.

We couldn’t take action (because there is no drug testing law in the state of Indiana) but what we agreed to was before his next two fights, Roy Jones would submit the results to more drug tests to Indiana. One fight was in Louisiana and those results were negative. And the other was in California, and those results were negative.

The letter was sent on Aug 2 2000 and he was tested after the Harding fight dated 9 August

He tested positive for an anabolic steroid. Of that we are sure.

So that isn't an excuse. Between 94-96 a Eubank fight was not viable.

Roy WANTED a one fight deal only to fight Benn. Don King wanted to tie him into a three fight deal, and Roy wouldn't agree. Neither would back down, and Benn declined quickly after his fight with Gerald.

Frankie Liles was also a Don King fighter.

These are not excuses!

Why did Collins deserve a shot at Roy between 94-96 for beating Eubank twice?

He could have had a great resume? He's already got one.

Put Roy's resume up against anyone you want, that fought around the same time from 168-175

You can pick anyone's?

Benn's, Eubank's, Joe's, DM's, Collins's etc.

Roy will come out on top.
Liles's version of events are very different

No
He was training to fight an opponent on the undercard of Calzaghe-Thornberry. He was supposed to fight Calzaghe later on in the year on HBo with the winner fighting Jones.

Don't feed the troll

The irony of you calling me a troll during one of the most delusional and quite frankly ridiculous posts in esb history

RJJ is likely not top 20 on any credible list...certainly not top 10...probably closer to top 25...great, yes but again don't over sell it.
Ha! You think Roy priced himself out? As if Hop would have agreed to 50/50 if he'd have had a win over Roy, and he'd have had to have come down in weight.

You're having a laugh!

Have I ever gone into a Calzaghe thread and brought up some less than savory part of Calzaghe's history, like when his wife called the cops, back in 04 because he was threatening to beat her up?

The answer of course is no, but you have brought up the whole steroids thing a number of times in unrelated threads. How does it work exactly, when Jones ducks someone it's out of order, but when Calzaghe does the exact same thing it get explained away?

You just did it now, on a thread that's not even about Calzaghe funny how that even came into your mind Pretty low of you to even bring up something like that

by the way, who in Leeds refers to the police as the 'cops'??

I take it comprehension is not your strong point?

In a thread about ducking you brought up the whole anabolic steroid issue you then lied and claimed he did not take a follow up test. I then asked you if I have ever done a similar thing in a Calzaghe related thread?

Calzaghe's wife drops complaint against him.

Quote:
World boxing champ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] will not face charges over an alleged incident involving his wife. Calzaghe, 32, was arrested after wife of 10 years Mandy made a complaint against him.

But police yesterday confirmed that Mandy, 33, had dropped the complaint and there would be no further proceedings.

The world middleweight title holder was taken to a police station for questioning on allegations of threatening behaviour and later released on bail.

Calzaghe could have lost his boxing licence and a series of fights in the US worth millions if he had been convicted of assault.
