Maidana - how did he recover from that liver shot Khan landed?

Is he the only fighter to have gotten back up after a liver shot.

I think Gatti might be another; against Ward and Oscar - but i can't really remember.

It was courageous.. NO DOUBT..

But it was towards the end of the round, so Khan couldn't really finish him..

But those were two dangerous shots Khan landed to the Body. How he got up in the first place, I dunno.. but it clearly hurt him!

You weren't the only one who was amazed, buddy. Khan couldn't have landed a better body shot, and Maidana went crumbling to the canvas in agony. There was really no reason to believe he could recover enough to find his feet within 10 seconds, but he did. An astonishing display of will. There's nothing else that can be said.

Ye. Its funny how ppl say khan was getting killed in the 10 but overlook that first round.

People diss Khan, but at least he took on one of the most feared fighters in the division at the time. And if he retires, then at least he can say he put maidana down. Something that only 1 other person (Ortiz) was able to do.

Margarito took several body shots by Manny on par with that punch IMO & walked thru it like a savage.

margarito also took some heavy body shots from manny in round 4, one of them had him bent over in pain was a left hook, then another right hand towards the end had margarito literally jumping at manny to clinch and right out the pain

It was his will and mental fortitude that got him up off the canvas. That just shows how powerful the will of a human being is. Just because the kidney said sit down, Maidana's heart would not let it.
