Default Evensen retires

Seen it on a Danish site.

Only 27 years old, Andreas Evensen has decided to focus on other things. Cites a lack of motivation. Fair play to him.

But not good for the Nordic Fight Night-concept.

Absolutely.

I guess the problem was giving that much of himself, but still not getting a grand prize for it.

Yeah Miskirtch is my boy but Evensen did beat the shit out of him. Has he complained about the stoppage by the way ? He didn't look to disagree with the ref but I felt it was a premature stoppage myself.

Always had a great fighting spirit and always left everything to the ring. His fight against Burns was a very brave effort.

And when all that is said I was very surprised that he retired. He wasn't the most popular boxer but still he was one of the toughest and most motivated fighters out there. I didn't see that coming. I would love to see more guys like Evensen: He gave always 100%. Respect.
