What say you?
The Marquez that fought Mayweather awhile back was no way in hell a legit 147 pounder. He has proven to be able to fight naturally at this weight. In all honesty I would rather see this version of Marquez and Mayweather at 147. Seeing him put on a clinic on Guerrero in a borefest does not interest me, and Canelo hasn't really proven shit to demand a shot at him at 154. Let him atleast fight Cotto first or Trout, he has spent much of his time beating up blown up smaller guys. |

I think the current better conditioned version could win a few rounds.
But the style matchup is just horrible for JMM. Floyd is a defensive counter puncher, where JMM is a offensive one... when these 2 styles clash it forces JMM to be the come forward aggressor which kills him. Add to that Floyd has no qualms stinking up the joint for a win where JMM always feels compelled to put on a show. I think if JMM had a really solid gameplan with his current conditioning he could maybe win 3 to 5 rounds.... but i doubt he could ever win. |

I'd have to see him against someone else. He came into this fight looking for a knockout, didn't look quick or mobile. The speed was the issue in the last fight (styles aside), so he'd need to prepare differently and prove he's competent in that regard. At the very least, it's safe to say he does better.

Marquez has only fought 2 elite welterweights. One guy who's style he knew like the back of his hand, and another who is a horrible style match up. I'd like to see him in with someone else to see how good he is at this weight.
Tim Bradley would be a very stiff test. |

I also believe the bout would be closer this time because I see Floyd gradually becoming less "mobile" and more "hittable" than before. |

I think Marquez can beat him. Marquez is comfortable at the weight now, carried his speed and power, wont be cheated out of 2 lbs now and him and Nacho know how to improve with each fight. I want to see it more so than any other fight. Marquez deserves his shot at redemption!

bradley gets beat pretty easily in my opinion, marquez is to smart for him in the ring. marquez at any weight loses to Floyd hes just the better fighter over all. marquez vs the ghost.
