It amazes me that anyone can really say knocking Pacquiao out COLD in 6 rounds doesn't deserve to be recognised as anything other than an amazing win.

Just because he got caught with a shot doesn't mean it was a complete fucking fluke you bunch of retards. Marquez was falling behind on points but he was patient and made the adjustment early from throwing a straight right hand at Pacquiao to an overhand right and once he connected with it in the third round and he knew he had the power to knock down Pacquiao, he threw it more often and you could see him trying to land it. He did so at the end of round 6 and the rest is history. Marquez is a great fighter with a record that doesn't tell the whole story of how great he really is, people need to recognise that beating pac the way he did and in the fashion he did is nothing short of an amazing win, DEAL WITH IT.

The point of this thread is if Pacquaio is such a fraud and media creation as many posters on this board seem to think, why does JMM get so much credit?

He's overrated because some people thought he was up there with guys like Whitaker, SRL, etc in the ATG list.

Anyone who isn't an idiot can see this is a great win. You're basically asking the group of people who for one reason or another want to discredit a Marquez win to tell you why, when the only real answer to that is that they wanna hate on him, its a loaded question.

Its a great win because a great fighter beat another great fighter but going by this board, it seems as though JMM beat a cab driver last Sat.

Its not 90% of the board that thinks pac is a fraud. Its 90% of the loudest most obnoxious idiots.

Floyd is over rated by some....so are the Klitchkos...Pac too...but most rate them in the proper perspective. Pac was fighter of the decade for a reason....it was based on who he beat and how he beat them and Pac had an amazing run. Pac is a legit ATG and former P4P king. You can't take away something Pac earned just becuase you don't like him.

Marquez's win over Pac > any of Mayweather's victories. Easy.

Affect Pac's legacy?

Let me go on record and say that Bradley is not great and never will be. He is just a solid good fighter. He does not posess the attributes of greatness. Packie is above average but not great. His aggression, speed and power puts him a notch above the average good fighter. Marquez is great because he has reached the status of master. He has mastered the art of the counterpunch. There is no one better in the game today and his skills can be judged against fighters throughout history and will be deemed worthy. You add that to his dedication, his technical skill, his mental approach, his grit, his personality and his power. Most, which are elite and all above average. The man is a great fighter.

People act like countering and out-boxing Pacquiao is the norm because he has a few losses against other ATG's.
