some real bullshit being posted in this thread...peterson exposed khans inside flaws? uh we kinda knew about that long before peterson
khan the "messiah of boxing"? says who? who made that claim? he's a very exciting fighter and always worth a watch, maybe that's something Andre Ward could actually learn from Khan, Ward may have amazing skills but when he fights I have zero interest (havn't even watched the Chad Dawson fight yet) I'd rather watch Khan than him any day of the week, and heres a secret, so would most people. |

He called himself a king before he was a prince.....the writing was on the wall. He thought he made it, when he clearly hadnt. Happens with lots of fighters, and will continue to do so.
I dont particularly like Khan either, because he has become some what of a wasted talent. The man literally has all the tools needed, he could be a Klitschko of the Welterweight division IF he had his head screwed on. The fact is, that goes to pot whenever he gets tagged. So all it ever is and ever will be is, if buts and maybes. Khan is big physically, he has got much bigger since his debut, he has a long reach, very fast hands, fast footwork, he is tall. He has all the ingredients to dominate the division, but the one thing he doesnt have, is a brain. There are lots of other fighters at the weight who dont have all those tools Amir possesses, but what they do have are the brains, and that instantly gives them and advantage. Some are smarter than others, its no coincidence they dominate. If you wanted a fighter to give Floyd Mayweather his toughest fight yet, and maybe even his first defeat. It would be an Amir Khan clone, with the same level of intelligence as Mayweather. Intelligence for me is 80% of what boxing is all about. It separates the good from the great. |

Quite funny when Amir says he isn't going to get in a war whilst sparring anymore and then the next moment Virgil's shouting at him to walk away and stop warring.

I like how Virgil's keeping Khan in check, he seems like the type of guy that doesn't take any shit. Exactly the type of trainer Khan needs.

Yeah, but I'm guessing that's pretty recent in camp - well hope so anyway. I don't see Virgil putting up with it if that's what he's been continually doing.
