Default Heavyweight rankings and H2H

It's fun to try to rank the heavies better than the orgs. My Top 20 as of now.

Ranking according to accomplishment
1. Wlad
2. Vitali
3. Povetkin
4. Haye
5. Adamek
6. Pulev
7. Fury
8. Helenius
9. Arreola
10. Thompson
11. Cunningham
12. Banks
13. Solis
14. Boystov
15. Chagaev
16. Price
17. Chisora
18. Dimitrenko
19. Lawrence
20. Stiverne

I left out Chambers (who is probably moving to cruiser) and fighters (like Grant or Mansour) who haven't fought in over a year.

H2H ranking (who I think are the best 20 right now)

1. Wlad
2. Vitali
3. Haye
4. Pulev
5. Povetkin
6. Fury
7. Solis
8. Thompson
9. Adamek
10. Arreola
11. Price
12. Glazkov
13. Chisora
14. Cunningham
15. Helenius
16. Banks
17. Chagaev
18. Boystov
19. Dimitrenko
20. Hamer

Chisora is criminally low on your rankings in terms of accomplishment.

Neither of them have fought anybody.
I used to be a Price skeptic but 3 straight wins over ***ton, Harrison, and Skelton, plus the Brit/Commonwealth, plus looking great in all these wins, should earn him a place in the back end of the Top 20. If he beats Tony Thompson he's arguably Top 10.

Boystov has been in the Ring Top 10 for many years. He got a decent win over Guinn in 2012. He might be Wlad's next opponent. I can't think of a match where he looked bad. So I don't think it's a stretch to rate him Top 20, though I agree he needs to step up the comp to remain credible.

That's interesting, I'm used to hearing the opposite criticism.

What has he accomplished though?Robbed against Helenius sure, but every other time he's stepped up he's been beaten handily.I'm a fan of the guy but he's not top 10 material.
I'd have him ahead of Price though, for damn sure, his wins x 2 over ***ton and he wins battle of beating the shot fighter award when he beat Williams in 2(only because Williams isn't as old as Skelton mind),also that win over Helenius.I'd have Chisora at 14 Price can stay where he is.

I agree with the top 10 though in that accomplishment list.

More reasonable. He should be ahead of Tony Thompson that's for sure. And Price, and Boytsov. There are a few there Chisora should be ahead of.

Beating Helenius in everyone's eyes but the judges, and giving Vitali his toughest fight in years. Throw in two hammerings of ***ton.

So by some peoples logic Evander Holyfield would be a top 10 Heavyweight still since you are just judging Chisora on who he has beat, its a ranking system people go down the rankings when they lose think people forget that why should Chisora be ranked so highly he lost to Fury, Vitali and Haye brutally. Chisora isn't in the top 15 of any sanctioning body where as the likes of Price, Thompson and Boytsov are rated in the top 15 by multiple sanctioning bodies.

Are you favouring Thompson over Price when they fight?

Fury would beat Pulev and so would Kevin Johnson, so Fury should be ahead of Pulev.

I really don't know if you're even being sarcastic here.

Nope, Holyfield hasn't beaten anyone of note for a long time. Chisora beat Helenius and looked good against Vitali in the last 12 months.

Fair enough, but 17th? Tony Thompson has lost twice to Wladimir, why is he still 10th in the OP's list?

Poor reasoning. A dead guy moved up in a sanctioning body's ratings once. They mean almost nothing.

That would matter in the H2H rankings definetly, but in the normal rankings its still 3 fairly recent losses which would hugely impact other fighter's rankings, i'm not counting the Helenius fight as a loss by the way. Basically what im saying is i would rank Chisora high in H2H rankings but because of his losses i wouldnt rank him as high in the standard rankings.

Who was that?
