I like Groves power - but for a fighter like Johnson I think Booth will be wary and enforce a gameplan on George to box and move, and stay out of danger for the 12 rounds.
Could be completely wrong though, to be fair I didn't see Johnson's last fight, last I saw of him was against Bute. |

Johnson is solid, I think he is made of oak (no racism intended). I think Groves will win by shut out. Groves impresses me in every outing, I can't wait for a Froch-Groves show down, should be a good un!

Think groves will fight from the outside on the move very much like his tactics against Degale. That said i will be backing groves knockout at 5/2 as is just too big for a guy who has come out of retirement and already openely questioned whats left. Will be very impressed with a stoppage and it sure would make a big statement to the division. Either way i have ringside seat 4th row so cant wait for the fight.Big fan of groves. |

Glen Johnson by KO, trademark overhand right, mid-to-late rounds.
....I'll be back to be laughed at after the fight. The only other finish ending I can fathom is George Groves with a body shot to Glen Johnson. Other than that I think it is an insult to Glen thinking Groves is gonna stop him flat out. Not even some of the best ever at the weight could do it. Although Glen has declined in the last few fights, it still hasnt been enough for top class opposition to stop him. I can see Groves throwing loads from the outside, but just hitting the guard of Johnson and maybe occasionally hitting the steel head. I cant see anything major though.

Booth has openly questioned Groves inability to avoid those big right hands (see post Paul Smith fight) so Johnson does have a chance if GG is not on the ball.
I do think he could force a stoppage if he worked the body from the start. I haven't seen the Bute fight but thought he'd stop him with body shots, he's old and came down in weight - gotta be there for the taking? (I know Glencoffe and Bute are friends though). I doubt it though, I see it kind of like a Brook-N'dou but with GJ picking up one or two more rounds. |

I like stoppage in this fight to be honest. I reckon Groves will be looking to make a statement with this fight and could see Johnson being sickened by bodyshots. Also, cant rule out groves getting nailed by a big right
