Default Marquez: Decision to fight again would be very tough

Quote:
"It's the hardest decision of my life. I want to be calm, enjoy my family and make the best decision. Just yesterday I got home and told my wife:'Hey baby, one more fight.' and she said 'no, you left off that you were going to retire', and yes I said that, that regardless of the outcome I was going to retire, but we'll see.

Everything seems to be rosy, but we'll see what happeens. I would love to fight at Estadio Azteca.. It is a dream that many would like to achieve and maybe I will have the opportunity or maybe a fifth title win. It was a very difficult fight on Saturday, six rounds of fire, dangerous, severe punches, but logically we know that all the money in the world you can not buy another life, and it can not buy you another brain.

I do not want to end up like other fights have. I do not want to be part of that experience. I would retire as I am right now, physically and mentally well. I wanted to show who was who, I could not retire without proving who was better and it was proven on December 8. If I retire, I would be satisfied.

Like to see him call it a day, personally.

not much more for him to do..i mean that KO was EPIC...against an EPIC fighter.

JMM has had a great career and im not sure he can top what he has just done....there is not another high like that for him.

It absolutely would be an awesome ending to ride off into the sunset spectacularly knocking out Manny Pacquiao.

Unfortunately Marquez will get offered to much money to fight again.

that's unfair. a rematch is needed and prove it wasnt a fluke.

4-0 is proof enough.

Did Hatton get a rematch to prove that KO was no fluke?

This. Though I believe Mayweather II is the only fight that would keep him from retiring...just too much money.

Translation: I don't want to fight Pacquiao again, because I know I am just lucky and my win is fluke. I know next time Pac will dominate me again the difference is he will no longer give me a chance to have a lucky punch.

Did it hurt? 'Cause it sounds like it hurt.

It took him far too long to get the credit he deserved so not surprising that he doesn't want to give it up.
But the time is right for him to ride off with our gratitude. Not many 39yo's get the chance to go out like that.
I feel priveledged to have witnessed his career.

But the thing is he will not get full credit for it. Many thinks it's a fluke win. He needs to rematch Pac to prove it's not fluke.

If only he is not getting busted prior to the KO no one will think it's a fluke win, but the JMM is getting busted prior to the KO. Even his corner is having an idea of throwing the towel. JMM himself told he might go down anytime soon..
