Default Main Events, NBC Sports building good heavyweight fights on the horizon.

Main events has a a solid heavyweight roster and is making some good fights with them. Adamek-Cunningham/Glazkov-Hamer later this month on NBC as we already know plus Eddie Chambers may be on a feb. card as he announced on Twitter the recent signing with them.

Tomasz Adamek - Former LHW/CW champ. Top HW contender
Eddie Chambers- Top Heavyweight
Bryant Jennings - Talented prospect
Odlanier Solis - Seems to co-promote the powerful contender in the USA
Steve USS Cunningham - Skillful and slick boxer
Sergei Liakhovich - Former beltholder and fringe contender
Vyacheslav Glazkov - Russian imported prospect

Just off the top of my head. 2012-2013 will see some good HW fights on that NBC series I believe. That's why I like when certain promoters maintain large rosters in certain divisions.

I'm a fan of Main Events and how they promote their fights/fighters. Lot of other promoters aka tv packagers could learn from their business model.

Give me Jennings vs. Hamer and Cunningham/Adamek winner vs. Chambers.

Killer American HW card, as far as they can be nowadays, if Cunningham beats Adamek.

Hamer isn't with Main Events now, is he?

Still DiBella? Or did "the other Lou" at ME poach him?

So if he isn't on the roster this indicates they're bringing him as an "opponent" for Glazkov rather than planning to feature him long term on NBCS. That might backfire on them. Hamer could wind up stealing Glazkov's intended TV time by beating him.

Glazkov is Ukrainian.

Chambers is a CW, Adamek & Cunningham 35+, Lyakhovich shot.

They need to get Mago Abdusalamov who is based in the US with Sampson Lewkowitcz. Perhaps Bogdan Dinu if hes with Interbox in Canada too.

Tor is with Lou DiBella. And I do already believe Glazkov will edge him. Far from easy though!

They should get some MW's on there too. Dibella just signed Khurtsidze who is a top MW and as fan pleasing a style as you can get. Quillin, Khurtsidze, Jacobs, Korobov

Bogdan has way more upside than Magomed.

Just as much bone-crushing power and he isn't a slow plodding oaf.

I agree Dinu has more potential but Mago is further in his career, based in the US, is a top prospect and is as fan friendly a HW for TV as you can find.

Magomed is fun to watch, but nowhere near ready to hang with the big boys yet. Plenty of questions remain about him after watching him get floored by McCline in the 1st round. But yes, he's definitely a TV friendly boxer.

I'd say Dinu is 100x more TV-friendly.

Abdusallamov is fun to watch for that one brief moment if/when he lands the lullaby.

Up until then, his plodding and slow winging isn't exactly edge-of-your-seat stuff. Compare to Dinu, who always bring heart-racing explosiveness.

BD also needs the exposure more. (as yes, Abdusallamov has already been established as a prospect and had chances to impress American audiences)

He's been buried deep on European undercards for a long time now, and if an overseas network took a chance on him it could be a refreshing and lucrative arrangement for all parties involved.

Yeah, it could definitely go either way IMO.

I'm just thinking from the perspective of Glazkov possibly losing; does he continue to get pushed by Main Events and NBC Sports while Hamer is rewarding with fading back into obscurity? (look at the Pirog and Jacobs situation...the victor is relegated to the basement while the loser is coddled and given featured segments upon his return)
