Still not really any intrigue left in the HBO card.

I guess I'll have to watch Khan.
Donaire always looks like this. Never looks like the ripped-ness of other elite fighters.

I'd rather watch Donaire/Arce than Khan/Molina. You really think Khan/Molina will match the excitement of Donaire/Arce? Khan's comeback fight holds less significance than Donaire's 4th fight this calendar year.

This is a mismatch, but Arce is always a lot of fun.

Donaire vs. Arce will be disappointing, I'm afraid.

I expected some excitement from Donaire vs. Montiel, and well...

Montiel seemed to have a lot more left then than what Arce seems to now.

I can 100% agree.

Showcase fight. Still think it'll be "fireworks while it lasts," as they say...

This fight will be alot different than Donaire-Montiel
Montiel is more of a tactical fighter.

Arce is more of a pressure fighter and he knows how to impose his will.
This fight could be like Donaire-Concepcion type of a fight.

Terrazas is fighting at the same card but he went up to FW.Hes fighting a bum who's coming from 5 straight L and who barely beat the SBW at the scale.
Rigo vs Terrazas would've been decent.

Hey, watch the ****-talking. Ruiz is no bum. He's got the hardest chin in all of boxing, and made Chente Escobedo work his ass off throwing the kitchen sink at him recently. (and has done the same to countless prospects, contenders, and former champs)

I agree they should just make it Rigondeaux vs. Terrazas and pay Ruiz step-aside money, but don't go bad-mouthing servants of the sport who've literally put in blood sweat and tears to keep the gears running.

(ok, maybe not tears. Juan Ruiz has probably never cried, even as an infant. Dude is tough as they come)

C'mon IB! Ruiz hasn't win a fight for a long time, he's fighting at fw and made 123 lbs at the weigh in, I think terrazas can get better opposition than someone who's coming from 5 losses. I apologize for the bum remark, I don't use to call any pro boxer a bum( except real bums)

Well Ruiz is no real bum. Spotty record, yeah, but look at his opposition.

He is IMO the toughest journeyman in the game and I stand by the "hardest active chin" praise. It isn't hyperbole. P4p his punch resistance is at least in the top 10.

Usually when you think of excellent journeymen/gatekeepers who can last and give prospects a test, you think of spoilers (Zack Page, Rayco Saunders, etc)

Ruiz is more like a Carson Jones or Jesus Soto Karass in that he functionally serves in the same capacity but while completely eschewing defense and just firing away with zero spoiling. (except his jaw is sturdier than both of theirs, although he isn't as heavy-handed or otherwise gifted offensively.)

Yes, Terrazas is almost guaranteed a UD8 but it isn't a terrible opponent - and if he stops Ruiz, even with the size difference, he makes a huge statement.

Donaire looks like he prapaired for Arce to fold and quit, Arce looked like he prepaired to give Donaire hell what kind of fight are we getting here? Mismatch? or Mistake? all logic says Donaire but if he trained like Pacquiao did or didnt, Arce is a live dude in there
