There's no doubt that Geale's workrate and tempo would really worry golovkin and he would easily have the better hand speed.
Golovkin would obviously have the power but he would want to land something big early otherwise Geale will outbox him all day long and i can see golovkin being all out of gas come rd 9.

Where is this big payday coming from? Is their PPV in Australia, Lord knows the gate will not cover this. Rather than continue with the minutia and speculation, I simply ask: How is Geale earning 5 million for this fight???
No way in hell is Geale getting 5mil.
I would think it would be around 1mil for the fight plus sponsorship.
The fight will do really well in regards to PPV sales in Australia but it won't be on the scale of the mundine Green fight in terms of $$$.

First of all, I agree Geales defense is not the best and is a bit above average, however like I said before it would be the best defense GGG has come up against providing they fight in 2013. The Sturm fight showed to me a decent improvement in his defense after watching his previous fight which I believe is on youtube if you wish to do a comparison. Sturm mainly landed jabs on Geale with the occasional hook which Geale avoided most of the time. There is no shame in being hit by Felix Sturms jabs as they are some of the best I have seen in the last ten years. They carry a beautiful combination of speed, power and accuracy. ODLH couldn't even avoid them. Furthermore, Geale's chin has been tested by the likes of Roman Karmazan who packed a pretty good punch.

The Ouma fight showed that GGG POSSIBLY has stamina issues as it was the furthest he has ever been in a professional fight not mention the most he has been pushed in regards to the pace of a fight. I disagree with you when you say Geale is not fast enough to employ the Ouma tactic. He can do everything that Ouma does and way better however I do agree that his power is questionable although his jab has improved over the last two years. However, do not dismiss it as we have not seen anyone land a powerful punch on GGG chin.

I never said GGG was hurt by Ouma, I said he looked like he was going to collapse. I meant from exhaustion. You only have to take one look at him following the fight. That fight exposed some serious flaws in Golovkins game plan. Another thing I have noticed about GGG is that he does not fight very well when on the back foot (see Ouma fight: early rounds). He is a power puncher first and foremost and likes to dominate his opponent by cutting of the ring with his superior footwork whilst waiting to land the perfect shot, and doesn't often resort to out boxing his opponent. This will not work against Geale who has superior speed and footwork. Geale is excellent when he forces a fighter on the back foot. (See Karmazan and Sturm fight) however this depends entirely on whether Geale can hurt GGG which is still a question mark for me.

I can assure you that after Geale whips Mundine and beats Sturm in the rematch (Soliman is going to get owned), the fight will happen in late 2013.
Soliman didn't get owned, just saying.

Martinez was eyeing either him or the Chavez rematch for later in the fall, but he looks to be on the shelf for the remainder of the year per Dibella. This fight needs to be made within the next 12 months. The guys at 140 are looking to settle up, and the same should happen here.

Not surprised a couple stray brittards and some Aussies are painting a picture of Geale having a chance.

GGG knocks him, easily.

We have Golovkin vs Macklin in June and Geale vs Barker in July (most likely). These fights will be very good indicators of where both fighters are at. Unfortunately, we won't get to see GGG vs Geale (if both win) next because of mandatory defences for both fighter.

Looks like the top rated guy for Golovkin's strap is going to be none other than Martin Murray. I'd been hoping for a Chavez fight later in the year, but that's almost as intriguing given what he was just able to do to Sergio. I'm supremely confident he gets Macklin out of the way, but he still has to get in the ring and prove it.

Current TBRB

Champion: Sergio Martinez
1. Daniel Geale
2. Gennady Golovkin
3. Peter Quillin
4. Martin Murray
5. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.
6. Matthew Macklin
7. Felix Sturm
8. Sam Soliman
9. Dmitry Pirog
10. Marco Antonio Rubio

Current RING

Champion: Sergio Martinez
1. Daniel Geale
2. Gennady Golovkin
3. Felix Sturm
4. Peter Quillin
5. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr
6. Matthew Macklin
7. Martin Murray
8. Hassan N'Dam
9. Darren Barker
10. Brian Vera
