Another one bites the dust.
First tier, 5-1...knocked out by a 37 year old domestic level Aussie rugby player turned can crusher who didn't have enough to claim the WBF title...against a 3-0 countryman. Maybe Whitehead should take Fujimoto's spot on the list?

Based on accomplishments.
1. Povetkin 2. Pulev 3. Helenius 4. Fury 5. Glazkov 6. Boytsov 7. Abdulsalamov 8. Pianeta 9. Jennings 10 Price 11. Wilder 12. Wawrzyk 13. Scott 14. Spizka 15. Ortiz 16. Rodriguez 17. Larsen 18. Brown I don't think anyone below that has really done anything of note to deserve to be ranked. Head to head ranking would probably be ranked like this. 1. Povetkin 2. Pulev 3. Glazkov 4. Fury 5. Helenius 6. Price 7. Boytsov 8. Wilder 9. Ortiz 10. Jennings 11. Spizka 12. Abdulsalamov 13. Rodriguez 14. Pianeta 15. Scott 16. Wawrzyk 17. Larsen 18. Brown |

You shouldn't take these things too seriously.
I don't rate Helenius at all, but do you honestly think I think he's an inferior fighter to Lucas Browne, who belongs on a door? Come on. My list has some genuine opinions in there but quite a bit of stirring too...which should have been obvious. Price is genuinely the only solid prospect out there, I think. All the others have question marks around them, though I could feasibly see Abdusalamov, Wilder, Fury, Ruiz Jr., Perez, Pulev and Scott doing something. Dinu, Wallisch, Rodriguez, Towers, Browne, Larsen etc., will continue to build padded records until they fight someone decent, like Helenius did with Chisora, and they'll be exposed. Feel free to refer to that in the future, rather than a clear piss take

Nice list, quite a good amount of up'n'cumers. Haven't seen all of them (I should).
Povetkin should be #1 based on accomplishments. However, since that injury late 2007 he hasn't been the same. It's kind of sad that his ability sort of drained away while never attempting to climb the summit. Similarly, Helenius probably has the 2nd best resume, but looked shit since the injury and although it reads W12 over Chisora, he probably should've lost. Don't even get me started on Boytsov.. :( in terms of current potential, I like Pulev, Price, Povetkin, Glazkov and Fury. Pulev impresses me most: excellent defensive and general skills, though he lacks a straight right hand and could also use a bit more power. Price looks good, particularly in the power department. Fury is awkward and also lacks a big punch, but he does throw every punch in the book and seems to be quite motivated. Not great but decent. Povetkin I described above. Glazkov looks excellent. Mind you, I wouldn't pick any of them over even current slowing-down Wlad. My bet would be on Price, maybe he could get in a freak right hand and score a TKO. |

I don't like the way he goes to the body either. He leaves himself far too open to counters and against a decent opponent, that'll cost him. Someone like Fury would exploit that, I think. There are more issues, such as his footwork, punch output etc., but it's probably unfair to criticise him too much at this stage as he isn't a finished article yet. I'd say he has a way to go before being as well rounded as Price though. |

Well rounded? He has Worst Glass Jaw ever he cant take punch for shit. He is sloppy, clumsy, off balance when he starts swinging and he has stamina problems. He is British style KTFO waiting to happen. And he looks like inbred retarded brit, his eyes are too close to each other. |

Price has a better 1-2 and straight punches in general. He is absolutely not more well-rounded than Pulev.
Quite the opposite. |
