It seems to me that with the amateur scoring system and rules, it heavily favors a specific style: outboxers. People who use long range punches tend to have cleaner looking hits and are in less danger than people who have to close their way in, possibly taking hits on the way.
So are there any successful aggressive/swarming fighters like Mike Tyson in the amateurs? |

Look up some footage of Evaldas Petrauskas on youtube, an Olympic Bronze medalist. He's only about 5''4, but is a powerhouse and an excellent inside fighter. He'll make a world class pro for sure.

Not sure of anyone famous, but there are plenty of short pressure fighters in the amateurs. They have to make due with what they have. Plenty of amateur fights are exciting scraps.
