What a performance by Cain, took it to JDS. I can say i didnt see that coming at all. What do yall think of his performance and whos next for him?

I see Cain only getting better on most aspects. He has heavy and accurate hands even though it didn't necessarily show well against JDS tonight.

Overeem fight would be great.

JDS needs to back to training for a fight instead of a body sculpting comp.

cain has great stamina. and it was a great performance but imo dos santos underperformed. but after seeing all this guys i would bet that cormier will beat them all. he has great stamina also but is better in the wrestling departement and striking departement than cain

JDS didn't recover from that massive over hand right early in the fight. Cain proved he is still the man to beat in the UFC.

Not a fan of Cain at all, but he did win so he deserves his props. Hopefully whoever challenges him defeats him, probs be big country.

Cain was awesome.

I wasn't expecting it, but I am glad it happened.

It now appears inevitable that they will have a 3rd fight at some point.

Also it does suggest that Cain really wasn't right for that first fight.

Hell yes, whata performance!! I was on the phone with mi amor, so I was a little distracted, but I was shocked that the fight lasted 5 rounds

I'm going to rewatch in a couple of hours, but here are my initial thoughts:

-Brown Pride couldn't put his punches together, but he will continue to improve.

-I wouldn't say JDS got exposed, as he is an elite HW, but he definitely needs to go back to the drawing board. I saw him training Muay Thai and working the pads, but that Thai Clinch was missing! Cain was able to use a single collar and get the best of him.

Not only that, but he spent too much time backing up, and Velasquez capitalized on this by pushing him to the cage over and over. I truly don't think that Cigano has much going for him other than good hands and footwork. I'm not saying that he should start chopping opponents down with leg kicks, but he didn't have much confidence in his striking after getting his block rocked.

-It's possible Cigano was out on his feet for a good 20 minutes, but I believe Cain Velasquez's tenacity discouraged JDS.

As for Brown Pride's next title defense, Alistair Overeem. I would have said Fabricio Werdum, but Werdum has a fight scheduled with Big Nog in June.

Alistair Overeem already has a huge following, it's not so much "The Fight" to make, but the man we want to see. The Demolition Man. Cormier v JDS will make perfect sense in the coming weeks. Or you know what? Let my man Roy Nelson welcome Daniel Cormier to The World Stage

Love his stamina, love his terminator style but his boxing is so sloppy and he has to use some jits. His engine gives him a huge advantage over everyone but sadly I feel he may be selling himself short if he doesn't improve his boxing (technique not speed or power which are decent) and engage his jits.

I'm intrigued to see Overeems power, jits and strength but I think his stamina is pretty terrible.
