For probably the same reasons Muay Thai isn't. Both relatively new to the western sports world in any organised form (compared to amateur boxing), the emphasis in both sports is very much on the pros, the amateur ends of the sports aren't that well developed & all the various national bodies probably don't communicate too well. But I think the main reason is the queasiness of Olympic sponsors.

I didnt say it was bad, I was just saying that the guy has one of those american "holy cow" expressions on his face, and not a solemn Asian expression (see difference below I will let you guess which is which), but like I said the picture is pretty cool, and it combines your name and the cool of having an asian (ish) guy(s) in your avatar

because its in a cage[as mma haters call it] and its too brutal. elbows and kicks to the head are not what the olympic movement want the public to see.
plus mma i kinda new. the only way it could get into the games is if there was a watered-down version with headgear imo. |
