I really thought Overeem was the real deal... Lets face it though he looked kinda flabby at the weigh-in and in the fight.... Hmmmmm I wonder why? Big Foot turned him into a ***** cat in the 3rd round.. Overeem should leave the UFC... He would get slumped again by Cain or JDS!
Uber-bum looked like Brock in the 3rd round... No defense at all! |

I do believe the move to the US was a bad move for Reem, he always seemed more focused in Holand, I remember seeing interviews of him, and him saying all he does is eat, sleep and train. Since he has been in the US, he's talked more smack than ever, hes always out and about at events etc.. Plus I think this blackzillian thing isn't serious like they were in holland (I know he had his problems with GG) Like slugger mentioned he even came in fleshy. I have NEVER SEE him fleshy since forever he has had a low bf. He didn't take Bigfoot seriously and he's paid the price, its no excuse he is a professional and he should no better but lets see what happens from here, I think the JDS fight will be on seeing as they both just lost. |

Reem will be back. He probably need a good reality check in there anyway. He was hanging his chin out and completely disregarding the power of BigFoot. As a fighter you shouldn't be underestimating your opponent. It's obvious BigFoot has power and Reem felt it in the 3rd.
Time for Reem to take things more seriously. That said, Have to give BigFoot his props, the KO was brutal. He put a lot leverage into those shots and made Reem feel the power. |

I saw the fight this morning, and was kinda pissed that Bigfoot punked him after the knockout. A lot of emotion, a lot of drama, but it was nice to see them embrace afterwards.
Bigfoot was right, he was the more complete fighter and Overeem talked a lot of shit

What's that about British Glass always shattering?
Seriously, with a trainer half as good as Manny, Reem could become one of the top 2 or 3 in the world in MMA at Heavyweight. He reminded me so much of a young Wlad. But what is his mentality like. Is he a Bruno or a Wlad? |
