Just for fun.
The tournament is a round robin Tournament, who do see coming out on top? Participating is... Kostya Tszyu Ricky Hatton Oscar De La Hoya Floyd Mayweather Miguel Cotto Timothy Bradley. I haven't picked guys based on ATG ranking or anything like that. I've picked a bunch of different styles, which should provide intresting H2H situations. All guys listed are to be considered at their absoloute best in regards to when they fought at 140lbs. How does it play out? |

Final match: De La Hoya SD12 Mayweather in a somewhat controversial decision. They do about the same in effective work, but the judges like Oscar's busier hands and nice-looking flurries.
I think Cotto-Tszyu would be the best potential fight there. |

140 may well have been Oscar's peak weight (although there aren't many fights to base that opinion on).
Mayweather and De La Hoya are the class of the field, and the Mayweather who dominated Gatti against the DLH who beat Gonzalez would be a helluva fight. I imagine it would be very close, with the decision being debated regardless of who the judges favoured. |

I like DLH, size, speed and power.
Plus I think Hatton v Cotto would be the best fight to make and at 140 I think Hatton would take it. |

I am not sure about Hatton taking Cotto. When I lived in UK I saw about 4 of Hatton's fights, and the guy is tough, and I personally think he has a great left hook to the liver. But against Cotto in his prime? Not sure about that. When I moved back to US I saw Hatton-Collazo in Boston and, man, that was one close fight, with Collazo hurting the Hitman a few times.
I think I'd have to say DLH at his best might be the man. |

Mayweather and ODLH are the class of that group. They would fight a high speed chess type fight which goes down to a controversial decision.
Cotto and Tszyu are the other semifinalists. |

Oscar wins the tournament in a bloodbath TKO over Tszyu in the tournament finals.
Floyd and Hatton are the semi-finalists. |
