Default Arguello vs JMM

Who wins between these two boxing masters? You pick a good weight for them.

At super-featherweight? I'll take Arguello.

What an insane fight this would be. I find it hard to pic a winner. Really hard.

Say 135. Gimme AA in a rough fight. Probably dropping Marquez along the way. Arguello has that size and skill.

Marquez also has it in spades but I like arguello's more sturdy shots whereas Marquez likes to drop his hands getting inside and leaving his left down.

I'd bet a lot of money that Arguello would make Marquez sit the fuck down at least once in this fight.

Those uppercuts would be tasty

If Arguello lands a Rooney-esque punch on Juan Manuel, guy is going down.

If JMM stayed on his feet through the 12 rounds, that'd qualify as the biggest upset since Tyson-Douglas.

He didnīt stop anyone as good as JMM though......Legra perhaps, you could say (Olivares too, but he was a BW after all).
I love Legra but I would say Marquez is greater, probably better, and faced harder punchers during his career and was never stopped, Legra was stunned a couple of times by Eder, who wasnīt exactly a vicious puncher anymore at that point......
Just saying.....

edit- to be fair, outside the Pacquiao fights, JMM didnīt face too many punchers....

Whatīs the story about the Legra KO, btw ? I never heard anything about this fight...

Yeah, because he's been stopped so many times.

Arguello wins, but the fight is pure poetry in motion.

I was saying Arguello would score a knockdown, not necessarily a knockout.

Sigh.

There's a thread about it. Somewhere. Bottom line: Arguello bounced him.

Edit: Here it is.
