Yep, that's the basic idea.

Thing is, you don't even have to change your pick in the 2nd option if you're pretty sure about it.

examples with the same boxers, with different results.

Contestant 1 picks Joe King to UD Lou Sirts with as a 2nd option again Joe King to UD Lou Sirts, because he's pretty certain that will be the result.
Contestant 2 picks Joe King to UD Lou Sirts with as a 2nd option Lou Sirts SD Joe King, because the fight is held in Sirts' hometown St. Louis and he has gotten away with very controversial decisions there in the past.

When Joe King wins the fight by UD/SD or even stoppage contestant 1 gets the round. If Lou Sirts pulls it off in any way the 10-9 goes to contestant 2.

And that's with every other outcome thinkable.
Possibilty of injuries, one punch KO's, robberies, getting old overnight... all put in the second option.

But on the other hand, over/under 8-4 might do the trick too. Only the chance on a 10-10 round anyway is bigger again.

I came up with this because this is actually the way I pick fights when they're close, or when I'm not sure there will be a stoppage.

If you look at my picks from last season I frequently had a little extra message added with my thoughts about the pick. Why I chose the one fighter and what might happen if I'm wrong.

Thats exactly the reason. Sometimes simple is better when dealing with these type of things. Theres so much in here as it is, I dont want newbies to look at something 'complicated' (even if its not for us because we know whats going on) and figure they wont even bother (though I might have already past that point by now to be honest with everything there is.... and I havent even started tournamets for the year )

Its a good idea man and in reality we could even do both. Wide/Close UD's AND backup picks. Idk.... Ill think about it and by tonight Ill make the decision. Gonna go rest now, got off work a few hours ago n been on ESB all morning I spend way way waaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much time on ESB

I understand. You should at least have 2 or 3 hours a day to eat, sleep and have a social life, so you can spend the rest on ESB... shouldn't become more because then it might be an addiction
