I think Castillo might slip in a mexican liver punch to derail Hatton. For some reason I think it will be anti climatic like vasquez - marquez. I have a bad feeling it gets stopped on cuts, I hope not but its possible.
Castillo and Hatton should have their chins sponsored by Lafarge Cement, I believe this fight will be determined on who is most effective to the body and who slows down the most. |

Hatton is far from Duran he is more like Jeff Fenech. That is not to diminish Hatto who I happen to like and have a lot of time for because amongst other things he is a genuine and likeable kid who in my opinion all of the country should be proud of. Those of us from Africa who know Ajose Olusegun feel the same way about him to. |

Ajose put on a boxing clinic against Gary Reid winning just about every round as shown by the judges verdict. Gary Reid prides himself on body punches yet Ajose made a point of assaulting Reid with body shots. Gary Reid admitted to me when I congratulated outside of his changing rooms that Ajose was the best fighter he had fought a claim I saw he had already made in the post fight interview at ringside. Interstingly Ajose only rated his performance as average saying he gave himself only a 50% pass mark meaning there is a lot more to come when he fights opponents that can push him. Jeff why do you think so many fighters in Britain are avoiding Ajose? I know you said you were moderately impressed but pleased tell who else in Britain at Light Welterwight or Welterweight can box as well. At world level there is obviously the exceptional PBF who I think is now retired unless there is a De La Hoya rematch. |

We don't know how much Castillo has left and maybe he can get back to his best. But hes at a new weight, has had 60+ fights, fought about twice in 2 years against lower level fighters and looked bad last time out against a mediocre fighter. |

Ajose is not on people pound for pound rating yet. I emphasize the words "yet" because in time he will be. Why do you say low tenacity and moderate power. Ajose has stopped better fighters than Reid for the record. His power is not in issue. We should credit Reid for going the extra mile even though he was hurt and shaken to his boots. I will be seeing Big Bad James tomorrow. We have a meeting so I will pass on your regards to him. Keep up the thoughtful and interesting comments brother. |
