Do you know why the Rocky Graziano and Jake Lamotta fight never happened?

Take some guesses before I start commenting, Im betting alot of people know, I just wanna make sure!.....Because I didnt know until just recently....And who would have won, the fight was set when they were both nearing or already in theyre prime?/?

They were actually signed to fight(you cand find a pic from a press conference with them) but Graziano got injured in training and was replaced by Mitri.

Some say Rocky didn't wan't no part of Jake.Don't know about that.

But I would have picked LaMotta to win.

Rocky claimed he didn't want to fight his old partner in crime in Lamotta. The two had been juvenille delinquients together.

Lamotta didn't seem to have any of the same trepidations.

Actually in an Interview with both of them from around 1979 or 1980 they both claimed they wanted each other bad! And I think Mitri lost his title to Lamotta.....But do you what kind of injury he suffered before the fight?

That may be true...but they still signed a contract...I dont think these guys were afraid of each other at all. It would have been a hell of a fight.

Graziano actually broke hiss hand in a sparring match about a month before the fight...It just wasnt meant to be but I know for a fact we would all still be talkin about this fight,..Awful alot of pride and will would have been in the ring that night.
