ALI:I'm so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark.

Haye likes to throw his whole bodyweight into the punch meaning if he misses he gets off balance too.

They use their speed different.

Muhammad peppered you with arm punches, Haye waits for an oppertunity (or makes them) to use his speed for haymakers.

Andy Ruiz Jr throws combinations like Ray Leonard himself.

Ali had a bigger output because Haye "loads his punches a lot more up", Haye also doesn't like running so he would always have a disadvantage at stamina.

when i watched the Wlad v Haye fight, Wlad looked faster to me, i do agree haye looks to throw that one big punch at speed and if he misses hes off balance as we saw in the Wlad fight.

Haye always tries to counter, he doesn't mix it up, this is why his punch out put is very low, we even saw that in the chisora fight, although he won because he was effectively countering, if he doesnt effectively counter it can be his downfall.

You just said it yourself, Haye loads up on his punches. That uses up a lot more energy. Running isn't going to help your boxing stamina anymore than running will improve your cycling stamina, it will help a bit but not much. Pernell Whitaker never ran, neither did Holyfield, or Toney and they didn't have any stamina issues. That's old school bs that you need to run for boxing.

I don't really think he does cycling/other exercises that increase his stamina too.

Chavez Sr also stopped doing running because he got problems with his legs.
I think around 1985 when he stopped.

I think you're missing my point, you don't need to cycle, run or anything. You can get fit enough for boxing by boxing.

Haye probably learned from that experience, and felt he needed to learn how to get more comfortable fighting in the pocket, thus adding another facet to his game.
Look at this faggoty ass post WAHAHAHA! quit trying to flirt with ESB posters! You traded your roach size dick for a tampon.

Yes they would be. I'll make a few comments on 3 of them.
Haye v Norton. If DH catches Norton early he finishes him like Shavers did. Norton didn't have the greatest chin/jaw. Ken was also KO2 by Foreman.

Haye v Frazier. Joe F was a slow starter. Not all that talented ox Bonavena nearly stopped JF as he was rising in the HW ranks. If JF can get Haye into the late rounds he has a chance to get the win.

Haye v Lyle. Lyle could bang but a smaller Quarry out boxed the hell out of Lyle to win a comfy UD. I think Haye could accomplish the same.

I don't think the heavyweight division is better these days, you only have to watch the video tapes and analysis performances technically.

There are allot of big guys around to today, but they can't really fight.

Very few are athletically gifted.
We'll have to disagree.
There are many big and athletic guys in the modern era. LL & K bros are just 3 top examples. Look at Haye v Wlad

Exactly... Ali never faced anyone as slick or quick as SNV.. Ali wouldn't have been able to keep up with him the way Haye did

Do you even watch boxing? You keep mentioning size. Haye was getting pushed back by Fragomeni, stopped by Thompson et cetera and this at cruiserweight. This is a very weak era. Frazier is a stylistic nightmare for David, Quarry could maintain a very high workrate, David throws about 10 punches a round. Norton? Yeah David could stop him but you talk about Shavers and Foreman like they were average punchers lol.

As for speed, single punches i can see the comparison. Combination it's Ali as Haye doesnt throw in combination and Haye's speed is either entirely defensive or offensive, he can't balance both. All around coordination with speed is Ali. But David sits on his punches more, where as Ali could arm punch a fair deal, which makes a difference.
