Default Haye: "Date with Vitali to be confirmed"

Haye says contract already has been agreed just a matter of when and where. Confirms Germany as the likely location of the fight.

The haype train probably won't be even half as big as it was in 2011.

Well that's not bad at all. The fight will probably not live up to what many expect, but again: this is one of the better matchups we can hope for.

In an ideal world - an I am saying this as a big Vitali fan - Haye somehow pulls off the upset and wins this and thus sets us up for a big unification bout with Wladimir. I bet Haye had to sign rematch options with Vitali so this will be a distinct possibility.

Just to be clear: I am not hoping for FOTYs, these will be stinkers. But at the end of all of this we'll have an undisputed HW champ. That'd be sweet.

Hope it happens. Great to finally get excited about a heavyweight fight again.

Yeah, more likely scenerio:

Haye gets WBC belt and refuses to fight Wlad while continuing to run his mouth.

Instead he fights Povetkin (but not until 2014), and wins. But since he already has a belt, instead of becoming the WBA "regular" champ he becomes another WBA "super champ" whiles Povetkin retains the "regular" belt, so that there are still three heavyweight champions, all of which hold a WBA belt.

Haye does not fight again until 2015, but not against Wlad. Instead, he fights a 300 pound Chris Arreola. All the time he runs his mouth telling us how great he is.

You can see it happening. Don't say you can't.

What would the betting experts here wager. Between Vitali's age and deterioration and Haye's physical disadvantages, what would your best guess be for the betting odds for this fight?

Would Haye still be a clear underdog or would this even go towards a 50:50 tossup?

Haye likely has to sign options with K2 in order to fight Vitali. In the worst case Haye wins against Vitali and then simply refuses to fight Wlad (and foregoes a multi-million payday). I don't see that happening, Haye is too greedy and so are K2.

Yeah because Haye has been so honorable with contracts.

Really, I continue to respect the guy as a two division champ, but his word is meaningless.

Pulled out of one contracted fight in his entire life . . .

Unless you know something we don't?

Hope the fight doesn`t happen, not only because Haye does not deserve it despite the Chisora win, Vitali is not getting younger and what if the slimmest of chances that he would win,he retires anyway. What`s the ****in point of that? I don`t like Hayes attitude to the sport and he`s still a gay Vercace model.
