Default Best news about/from Pavlik in a long time.

I'd been concerned about him on a personal level but this makes me feel like he may be on the right path after all and boxing had become his real demon.

"I actually talked to Kelly for the first time in quite some time," said Loew, who runs the South Side Boxing club in Youngstown. "He asked me if I would be with him when he made it public."

The negativity he has spouted about others made me seriously wonder about his mental well being. It seems he cut relations with other long time friends and supporters in Youngstown and not just Jack. If he can bury the hatchet with Jack then I think he may actually be at peace with himself, his decision to retire and life in general.

Welcome home Kelly. We missed you.

Thats nice to read. Maybe Kelly and Jack can work together again so they both can prosper.

I wish Kelly nothing but the best but i don`t see a good future for him. I hope i am wrong. I see Pavlik blowing his health/money on alcohol and bad investments and making a comeback in his mid/late 30s. Ive seen a recent interview on him where he talks about the Ward fight after it was announced and that dude was drunk as ****.

Pavlik was/is ranked in the WBO top 2. I was hoping he would fight George Groves in a final eliminator.

Great link there, fun read. Glad to see Pavlik announce what he really feels by retiring rather than fighting dangerous opponents when the desire isn't there.

Respect, sad to see him go, I really wanted to see him make a come back he had so much potential when he finally arrived, I honestly was shocked how he knocked out Zertuche and Miranda he was a beast, only to move forward fight Taylor and knock him out after Taylor came off of back to back wins over Hopkins.

Sad to see him go, but its obviously for the right reasons so in that sense I am happy for him

It'd be cool if Pavlik and Lowe worked together and brought up a fighter from the amateurs all the way to a world title.

I wish nothing but the best for Kelly in his retirement. Refreshing to see somebody retire from the sport so young admitting they don't have the same hunger and desire they used to. When that happens, it's best to not be getting punched in the face.
