Default Campillo at skybet.

Is the guy he is fighting any good? Because he is 13/8 to win at skybet, might be worth a few quid.

Kovalev has a near perfect KO/TKO/RD/TD record. He hits hard and is relatively fast. Campillo has been dropped once in his career in a loss and has been known to hit the canvass. Additionally, Campillo has been having medical issues.

Taking Kovalev would be a good risk move, in my opinion. Campillo is the master class boxer at 175 but has chin issues and who knows about his health. Campillo will either beat the mercy out of Kovalev for 12 rds or Kovalev will KO him. There is no in between.

I was on about taking Campillo, but understandable mistake, I didn't make that clear at all.

What is the nature of Campillo's medical issues?

Kovalev is a monster, with no obvious flaws.
The only negative thing you can say about him is that he hasn't yet faced any top-level opposition.

The incredibly crafty Campillo, even at 34 y-o, is a great test for him.

This.

Back issues.

No, I understood what you were saying. Campillo is a risky pick against a KO contender because he's very chinny. Make no mistake that he's a slick, beautiful beast but he doesn't like to get popped.

IMO it's better to take the risk on Kovalev rather than Campillo. This is just my personal, limited opinion. Do what you will, though.

Gotta go with Campillo.

Kovalev looks like a beast... against Darnell Boone and Lionell Thompson. Which is sarcastic, but to his credit he did look like a beast against those guys.

Kovalev needs to get Campillo out of there quick or hope that Campillo gets old overnight, because Gabe can box.

Similarly, I think the 10 rounds will help Kovalev and not Campillo. Kovalev can get Campillo to start off real timid before he warms up and steal the first hunk of rounds, much like Shumenov did in their rematch (which was a robbery, but Shumenov won 3 of the first 4 clearly if I remember correctly, before going on to get wasted in every round thereafter).
