Froch vs Kessler : Fight preponed to april 27

GYM, Adonis Stevenson's (Froch' mandatory) promoter, is working hard! They found some holes within the IBF rules and here's what came out of this :


Ainsi, Froch et Kessler devront soumettre une nouvelle entente à la IBF d’ici le 29 janvier et se battre d’ici le 27 avril. Le gagnant aura ensuite l’obligation d’affronter Stevenson dans les 90 jours suivant sa victoire. Aucune clause de revanche ne pourra figurer au contrat. Si une des ces conditions n’étaient pas respectées, la ceinture deviendrait alors tout simplement vacante. Stevenson devrait ensuite s’entendre avec le meilleur autre aspirant disponible.

Translation :

Thus, Froch and Kessler must submit a new agreement to the IBF before January 29 and fight before April 27. The winner will then face Stevenson within 90 days after his victory. No rematch clause will be included in the contract. If any of these conditions were not met, the belt would then simply become vacant. Stevenson should then fight with the best available contender for the vacant belt.

Ward is #1
Froch is fighting Kessler to maintain #2.

WBC already stripped Ward for his injury. WBA may follow suit so the Froch/Kessler winner would become the actual belt-holder.
