9 rounds ? Nah from what I recall Dirrell had a decent shout for a close win but he failed to engage for periods of the fight and didnt he get deducted a point or two ? Froch was the current WBC champ and Dirrell didn't deserve to get the nod in the judges eyes . It certainly wasn't the romp home some Froch fans argue agreed .

it was a shit running match, froch deserved it for that alone.
in the past dirrell would have been warned, then dq'd or the fight would have been declared a No Contest, with purses held or fighters (dirrell) fined! pure shit!!! |

I've only seen it once, don't care to see it again.
I had froch winning it by 1 round + the deduction. Dirrell looked "flashier" but there was a lot of style without substance and Froch landed the better shots in a lot of the rounds. I remember Dirrell doing a LOT of illegal holding, all night long, if anything he should have had more points taken off, or arguably been DQ'd, it was almost Lewis/Akinwande levels of bad. |

you gotta beat the champ convincinly if you wanna take his belt, and with dirrels cautios style nobody was gonna give him the nod in a close fight.

I'm a big Froch fan but thought Dirrell was unlucky not to get the win.Dirrell gave it away by not engaging enough. I believe Froch has improved since their fight and would beat him easier in a rematch
This crap about beating the champ convincingly to win the belt is rubbish. If that was the case Sylvester should've held his belt against Geale going on that theory. A fight should be judged rd by rd.... If it's a close rd and the scorer doesn't want to give it a 10-10 score maybe he can take into account who is the champ, but my personal opinion is judging each rd on it's own merits regardless of who is champ. |

I thought it was dead even and horrible fight going into round 11 and then for the last two rounds when Dirrell engaged he easily outclassed Froch.
Still after than fight, Froch went from strength to strength and Dirrell - the least said the better |

How do you think your boy Kell Brooke is going to fair against Alexander in Detroit? I think he will have to put on a top proformance to take the title in that one. Devon seems to get the nod in all the close fights his been invloved in recently, especially the Matthyse fight. I think 2013 will be a big year for Brithish boxing with Fury, Price, Brook and Frampton to make a splash. I am enjoying watching Frampton progress as a young fighter, he is comming along well at this stage. Watched his win over Molitor the other month and was very impressed. He is a compact little dynamo
