Hearn stated this in several Ifilms videos over the past week or so. Tbh I was expecting someone a lot better for Barker in all honesty and don't think either of these pose much threat in all honesty

Nice, American exposure...as I would assume this would be over here?
He should dominate either one, and help wash out the bad taste of the ear drum fiasco. (there are still some idiots labeling him a soft quitter) |

Think it's just keeping Darren active and looking for a big fight in summer. He's not fought with regularity for a long while so get him two fights in space of 4 months or so is pretty good for the Darren Anderton of Boxing.
Both a decent fights, Guys who've mixed with good operators. I expect Darren to beat both then line up a big fight in summer. As i said in the Barker vs Lee thread i'd prefer he went after a world title in summer. No time to waste, But i respect this fight he may of said to Eddie let me have another fight because as good as Darren looked against Hope he only just got going in the 3rd round. He probably wants to be taken into later rounds and get cobwebs off for sure. |

I may be imagining things but I see signs that Razor might get stopped by Vera. I see Barker taking Lee and Vera taking Dzin.
People in general are bad. I've always said that. |

********wboboxing.com/wp-content/pdf/WBO_Ranking_as_of_Jan_2013-v1.pdf Dzinziruk is #11 in their 154lb rankings; Barker #11 at super middleweight. So no matter which one he gets, it's someone who improves his stock with the WBO by at least some increment. Going after Quillin isn't a bad look for Barker. Maybe the easiest MW champ to stick up (since judges love Geale's workrate, Golovkin is a terrible bastard, and Barker already knows where he stands with Maravilla) |

...and yeah, Dzyna's day in the sun is over going by the Mantequilla performance. That is one dull, rusty blade. It is the fifth best sub-forum on the whole site, since McGrain and I began sprucing up.

****ing hell, people slate Barker for fighting them guys. Before his last fight, he was out of boxing for, what, 18 months? He is not just going to go straight into a world title chase, even though he probably wants it.
