Default Do you think Darchinyan-Mijares 2 would make sense?

Not the best fight to be made at 122, nor a fight between the 2 best fighters.

However, I find it interesting considering Mijares seems to be back on track at 122, and same as Vic. Just another match-up I'd like to see out of curiosity.

Who'd win and why?

Sure, why not. I was really disappointed with Mijares' performance against Vic. Thought he fought the wrong way against him. I mean, I knew it was going to be a tough fight but thought Mijares would of done a better job of boxing from the outside and behind the jab. Mijares seems like he's got some smarts, so i think he'll give a better account of himself in a rematch. Not saying he will win, just think he'll do better in a more competitive fight.

I agree, and I'm just not sure but maybe, just maybe, the crippling power that Vic had at 115 just isn't the same at 122. Maybe Mijares can take it much better now.

I thinking Mijares will fight a smarter fight. I think Vic can still crack, but like you said, just maybe not as crippling.

The Mijares-Darchinyan fight was a great fight but I do not want to see these guys fight each other anymore. I'd rather see both these guys go on different routes. The only time I want to see both of them fight is when they meet at the top of their division. There are plenty of opponents both can have here like Montiel, Vasquez, Terrezas, Hasegawa, Morel and many more.

I'd like to see Darchinyan-Vasquez/Terrezas and Mijares-Montiel in particular.

At this point, sure.

Darchinyan is way more shot, so his stylistic advantage from when he has Mijares' # might be offset.

Cristian has handled weight-climbing well, whereas Vic hasn't carried all his power up intact.

Yes, let Vic rough him up again for what he did to Rafa

I think its a good fight to make at 122

Both have re-established themselves, the winner gets in the mix

I think Darchinyan mugs him again!
