Default Thoughts on the APB?

I think many people are underestimating the impact this could have on boxing.

What do think?

I dont like the idea of it to be honest. Just leave it the way it is. I love amateur boxing but not having the likes of Lomachenko in the pros ****in annoys me.

I'm wondering if AIBA are overestimating the professional game and the gains to be made. I'm not sure they have taken into account the amount of money they will need to pay the boxers, as it stands the boxers, referees and judges at the Olympics, Worlds etc are funded by the country they come from that means all the ticket sales go directly to AIBA. They can't lose money!!

When they turn to the professionals they will have to use the ticket money to pay for purses, the referee and the judges because they will all want payed for doing things professionally.

What happens when they sign a big star to one of their contracts and they find that nobody actually wants to watch them box? How many times have a brilliant amateurs turned pro but haven't got a fanbase and with the amateur style they struggle to get the followings that exciting average fighters can get.

It will be good to see how they approach things like contracts and how they keep the public interested in the fighters they have.
