yeah..but if you fight in any weight class other than heavy (pro) or super heavy (am) you most likely shouldnt have "waste" weight on you...fat isnt useless...i mean it can be "put" into your punches, and it can even sometimes help you absorb shots..but if you are going to be 198 you are better being more muscle than fat...and if you have 20 pounds of fat on you..maybe you should fight at 178, or try to strip some of the fat off and add muscle.

thank you for all your responses, no not looking to fight, never fought in a boxing ring, just a fan, i just wanted to be in good shape for the summer.
I am now 13 stones/182 pounds, before i was 196 pounds, ive been doing a lot of jogging, also weight training, i have to admit i was tired of my lower part so i really did starve myself, some days only drinking water, i havnt got a belly now, but not a 6 pack either, im not as bulky, my body is ok for the summer, but i dont feel as big, im more trimmed but when i wear the clothing i feel as though my shoulders arnt as wide as they used to be. it is very difficult to be less than 10% fat and be heavy in weight, when you train, whatever you do you end up losing weight. Im trying to eat only good food and gain weight like this, so hopefully my weight can get to 14 stones and with muscle. have you guys ever gained weight, without adding a belly, how much did you gain, and what did you do. i am also trying to lose weight now
but here is the thing\ i like to train alot and guess what to train a lot you need to eat alot... and at the end of the day you dont lose weight alot of the time so while counting calories and not consuming to many calories you dont have engery to work out hard...... |

Well, on the bright side - i have found it hard to really hurt people with body shots when they're carrying a lot of fat in the mid-section. So, belly fat ain't all that bad I guess. Ha ha.

Nutriton is key. Try the paleo diet combined with high intensity resitance training. Mindless jogging is counter productive. Interval sprinting is better.
High fat , high protein , low carb. Get your carb intake from fruit and veg only. A cheat day once a week is esential. Make sure your calorie intake the day before is no more than 1000 in protein and veg. Then pig out the day after. Train hard aftr cheat day. If done correctly u will see massive results that week. ( its to do with the fat loss hormoane lipin, read up). Your never gonna put muscle on while trying to cut , but done correctly you wont lose your muscle either. |
