Loved the spinning kick, loved the Showtime Knee and the finish was brutal. He was clinical from the start. Cerrone isn't actually very good technically but his toughness and tenacity usually overrides that. Like in the Diaz fight, Cerrones boxing was found wanting, he struggles in a nip tuck boxing match and has very little defence.
I wonder if Henderson now is simply a smarter operator and would look to grapple more. If I was advising Pettis I would suggest a grappler before Henderson. Henderson kryptonite is his insistance to often strike violently when he should be mixing it up. |

hes twice as fast. Cowboy is a come forward striker with minimal defense whereas pettis is a counterstriker who gets in and out with his footwork. pettis is mentally stronger whereas cowboy gets intimidated easy and tightens up and fights stupid. I honestly knew the fight was over when i saw them warming up. Pettis was loose and snappy and cowboy was very tense and tight. easiest 5gs ive ever made. 2 fight parlay with askren and pettis. Wasnt nervous at all.
