Bernard omahoney imo is a crank, hes playing on the fact noone is around to dispute him, and basically spins bullshit to make himself look hard. In one of the documentaries afterwards he mentions being sad as his mates were dead, then more recently his whole tune changed. He claims whomes and steele are innocent but makes a film claiming to be nothing but the truth, where the climax is unequivocal in who killed them.

Nigel benn did hang around with them by all accounts but there seems to be little documented about it. Maybe try his books etc, i know he featured on another documentary about them but not much else is around.

The new film out this year is called the fall of the essex boys i think. Doesn't look like shaping up to be anything more than a carbon copy of the other two. Will still watch it though in case it turns out good.

One more person's account of the era is nipper ellis' book called last man standing.

There's a a documentary on YouTube called "Essex Boys" and for O' Mahoney to give a VERY detailed description of the shooting (whe the killers were standing etc) make me think that he knows more than what most do... Put it this way; if he got found guilty of it I wouldn't be surprised.

The comment about Noye having done it made me laugh.

If you know even the least little sniff about Noye you know he would have got someone else to do it.

Plently of eveidence that he could have been involved but he would have been miles away at the time. Noye's majaor crimes where he did it personally were heat of the moment things. This was planned and he would never have got his hands dirty.

Whats the deal with Noye? I had never heard a peep about the man until the road rage incident. Since then bits and pieces have come out that he was a major player in the under world. Am I just not ITK or was he a very quiet man going about his business?
