According to Schaefer, about a week ago Arum sent a "low-ball" offer for the fight through Espinoza that would pay the Mares' side $1 million.
"They offered us a million dollars for Abner, Espinoza and me. It was a joke," Schaefer said. The counter proposal? For a time period when Donaire said he isn't fighting? Right.... knew there would be a catch. A lot of us has questioned the legitimacy of the offer. Even Cameron Dunking is suspicious: "I'll know more when I see an offer from Top Rank and get their take on it," Dunkin said. "Is (the offer) true and straight forward? We'll find out." The sooner Arum is out of the sport, the better. He's been a great promoter but his ego is having a negative effect on the sport. |

We don't know under which deal Donaire walks away with the most in his pocket. Also they are proposing a month that Donaire has said he is taking off.

Schaefer claims he sent it to a firm of lawyers that represents TR. We shall see. Schaefer has let Arum get so far under his skin he may just have him doing something stupid here to retaliate.

BS... Donaire should all the criticism.. He's the one signing with Arum as his promoter.. And if he forces his promoter to make the fight.. he has to make the fight...
It's just Top Rank tactics this... The fighters tells how he wants to fight everybody and then Arums says no. It's a trick to let Arum take all the blame and let the fighters seem like fearless warriors.. Pac played the same game with Arum and now Donaire.. It's disgusting how many boxing fans are buying this crap |

my bad man. You were saying this whole time that GBP was the reason this fight wasn't being made. Now that you've been proven to be completely and obviously wrong, you're trying to still savage your rep.
I understand. I'll let you go oblivious |

Look at it like this as you said Arum is under his skin no doubt, But Arum is also out of the Country right now, all the sudden they are going to start making offers while he is out of town....? I think its bullshit, Twitter games being played here.. just a cheap way to lie and say we sent you an offer why havent you responded, cheap way to claim victory here. I dont think too much of Mares, kid fights like an amateur headbutting low blows has zero control over his shots he doesnt place his shots he just throws throws throws I would rather see Donaire Rigo, or Donaire Santa Cruz |
