Default Pivoting??

my coach taught me the pivot today. what is the reasoning for pivoting? i understand there are two types. the one that is kind of like a half pivot so you have an angle advantage on your openent. and the full pivot. what is the resoning for the full pivot?

A full pivot gets your ass out of the way from a counter, a half pivot allows you to take almost a side step over to catch your opponent before he resets.

Thats what your supposed to do, also as you pivot if you pivot off to your left take your right hand and push his right shoulder as you pivot you will find him on the ropes if you do it correctly

The best advice anybody can really give you here on ESB is for you to just listen to what your trainer tells you to do, if you listen to your trainer you will do okay, you dont have to have a world class gym or trainer to become someone, you just need to be dedicated to yourself 100% and work hard when your in the gym each and every time.
Good luck to you keep punching.
