This. Some fighters such as Rigondeaux almost exclusively throw their rear hand as an overhand punch. Look at Marquez' first knockdown in the recent Pac fight. The best punch Antonio Tarver ever threw was an overhand left, pretty impressive for an 'arm punch'

Good shout, Martinez is another one who often throws looping punches with his rear hand.

another words beginers will just go out and throw overhands be falling all over the place getting countered and look rewards....professional fighter who use those throw them when the stances are in certain postions (they have gained some angle) and generally with the punch they move their heads to a outside position.
