this is actually legit. i heard this from 3 very reliable sources as early as december last year. and i spoke to someone last week who confirmed this is true. thats why he is waiting so long to confirm his may 4th opponent and why choc is so dangerous in this fight with geale.

floyd is chasing his 6th weight division title

and mundine would be by far the easiest opponent

Isn't Sturm or Soliman next in line for the winner.

In all seriousness I hear tim Bradleys people are negotiating the fight. But with the top rank golden boy shit who knows. I think either Guerrero or Bradley fight money may.

actually, it does make sense. but mundine wouldnt sell in america. geale would as he is a recent two belt holder, and has the higher profile.

mundine wont win tomorrow night, so theres no chance of him having any belts for mayweather to desire.

if mayweather wants to step up to middle, there is more chance he would like a crack at geale than ggg....so it is a possible scenerio....

That is true, but personally, I cannot see the fight happening even if Mundine wins against Geale.

Mundine is just too unknown in the American market, and those seppos who do recollect who he is only have a negative opinion of him re. his 9/11 remarks. That has a lot to do with his lack of US opportunities.

The odd thing and reason I post is that I first began to hear about him 'preparing' for a bout with Mayweather a fair while ago. Apperently, he and Reno among others have been boiling down Mayweathers fights and reckon they have developed a number of plans in the event that the bout comes off. Waste of mental effort if you ask me, as all the theorizing and planning counts for nothing when you get in the ring and nothing works...everything Mundine does Mayweather does better, and by better I mean a hell of alot better. Remember Fenech's multiple gameplans for Glen Kelly against Roy Jones, not one of them worked, although it is true that Reno shits all over Fenech for tactics/strategums...

Anyway, Mayweather would need shooting if if he fought Mundine when the Martinez fight is out there...but my point is that for a long time Mundine has been working on a variety of things that he thinks would help him against Mayweather.

But at the end of the day, the US market will dictate that no interist in the bout means no match...I'm afraid that window closed many years ago.

Agree. However he definitely got under their skin showing up at their gym and carrying on. Mayweather has a massive twitter following, think about this;

Mayweather
-still hasn't been shot for the PAC non-fight.
-hasn't fought since jail.
-wants to be p4p king
-puts one link on twitter about Chocs 9/11 statements (honestly who remembers that in America? Ask them where Australia is.) and you now have interest.
-has Choc doing all the promoting for him.

He only has to offer Choc Aussie ppv and its a good deal. I reckon he (Mayweather) could pull his standard $40 mil out of that one quite easy. It's still a pipe dream but not as crazy as it sounds.
Warm up fight for 6th world title then he fights a big name.
