I gave Mundine 4 rounds, and again they could have gone either way.

Mundine could have given me gold class seating and a % of his purse and I still couldn't have given him more than 3 rounds and two of thise would be out of gratitude because I'm a good bloke.

Geale's defensive performance was special and has to be watched multiple times to be appreciated. His footwork was Famechon-esque in its effectiveness towards his defense.

I think Geale is just very hard to hit, not sure he has extra special defence. I bet PBF would get through it ok

Floyd doesn't waste a punch and his accuracy is amazing so he'll do better than Anthony no doubt but Geale's defense is quality. Nothing fancy like Floyds or prime Jones Jnr but more like a Winky Wright based on terrific positioning, footwork and a tight gaurd.

He is bloody hard to tag clean and getting harder as last night showed.

I had the feeling that there was going to be some 'correcting' in this bout due to the (misguided imo) view that Geale won their first bout. Preconceptions like that can be very hard to dislodge, and so objective, accurate scoring just never gets a look in.

I scored the bout 114-114 with a either two point variance in favour of Mundine or a one point variance in favour of Geale. Anything beyond these bounds looks like Special Olympics scoring to me.

But with Aussie boxing's deification with 'workrate' and activity, however ineffectual, bout's today are won on whoever is the fittest.

But mundine simply didnt throw enough punches..
he blocked a lot but didnt throw much.. he wasnt busy and the workrate was not there..

and yes geale also made him miss a lot!!!! mundine wasnt getting tagged a lot but wasnt throwing and when he did, geale's defence was great.

You could have given him 3-4 rounds!
