As a discussion point, how good was a prime Quinton?

4th of all-time

Next best (not in order): Couture, Machida, Hendo, Sakuraba, F Shamrock
Best of the rest (not in order): Tito, Rashad, L'il Nog, Belfort, Arona

A prime Rampage was, in my opinion, one of the top 10 best MMA fighters ever on ability (I had him 9th/10th last time I made a top 10 on this). OK, he found his Kryptonite in the insanely ferocious Muay Thai facekicking mayhem of Chute Boxe's finest, but this was still a guy who beat down on Chuck Liddell twice, manhandled a prime roided Randleman and a prime Arona, and went toe-to-toe with a very good version of Hendo and deserved the win. In his later years Rampage became a plodding, one-dimensional, toothless, depressing turd of a fighter, but that should not obscure how effective he was at his best. I'll tell you, I'd love to see how Bones Jones would have coped in a ring with prime Rampage, that would be a fascinating fight. Prime Page could easily have matched Jones for strength, that would have been some tear up I think.

Anyway, great great fighter at his best.
