How many fighters could actually put down a guy like Julian Jackson himself?
Heavyweights might have a lot of power but almost all lack the sharpness to really put down a good guy for more than 10 seconds. Naseem Hamed comes to my mind. |

Freddie steele came to my mind.. had a deceiving ko record but was as sharp as they come an could drop fighters with one shot. Not on jackson level but not many are

Foreman > Shavers to me as far as power goes. You get all these people saying that Shavers hit them them the hardest, yet they were never stopped. If Earnie hit as powerful as is allegedly purported, he'd have taken Ali and Holmes out.
He couldn't even drop a way past it, slow Ali who was absorbing plenty of punishment. Not saying he didn't hit incredibly hard, but was absolutely not a sharp puncher. He clubbed at guys and only ever stopped a couple of good opponents. |
